The workbench

Turn scattered notes into a searchable archive.

Six connected tools for the long, patient work of understanding mechanical heritage. Every record is created and curated entirely by you.

Component Profiles

Build detailed dossiers for each piece — rarity assessments, verification notes, historical references, and custom research fields tailored to the mechanism.

Document · Verify · Reference

Provenance Lineage

Explore ownership and origin through connected lineage records. Cross-link movements, donors, and reference pieces into a living chain of history.

Connect · Trace · Link

Restoration Projects

Organize work with milestones, acquisition tracking, and restoration journals — every intervention logged, dated, and recoverable years later.

Plan · Log · Restore

Hunting Campaigns

Run targeted searches for difficult-to-find parts. Track leads, sources, and sourcing strategies until the missing piece finally surfaces.

Hunt · Source · Acquire

Progress Dashboards

Watch years of effort take shape through structured logs and progress dashboards that surface what's done, what's pending, and what's still missing.

Measure · Track · See

Knowledge Vault

Keep authenticity references, restoration techniques, hypotheses, and long-term notes in one private vault — your professional archive of mechanical wisdom.

⚙️We are a small team of collectors, restorers, and mechanical-heritage enthusiasts who grew tired of watching irreplaceable knowledge live in shoeboxes, spreadsheets, and fading memory. K‑Slineage Research is the workspace we always wished existed — a dedicated home for the stories that rare components carry.

🔬Our mission is preservation through documentation. We believe a calibre, an industrial movement, or a specialized mechanical assembly is only as valuable as the record that explains it. So we built tools to capture provenance, restoration history, and rarity with the rigor those objects deserve.

📜For you, the app becomes a single, searchable environment: component profiles with verification notes, connected lineage records, restoration journals with milestones, hunting campaigns for the parts that refuse to be found, and a private knowledge vault for techniques and hypotheses. Years of scattered findings finally cohere into one clear research system — local, private, and entirely yours.

Not merely a catalog — a living archive for the history that keeps on ticking.

Effective Date: June 2026

K‑Slineage Research is built on a single, uncompromising principle: we do not collect, store, or transmit any of your data. Everything you create — every component profile, lineage record, restoration journal, and research note — lives entirely on your own device, under your control.

1

Information We Collect

None. There are no accounts to register, no names, no email addresses, no passwords, no location data, and no usage analytics. We do not gather identifiers of any kind. The component dossiers, rarity assessments, provenance links, restoration milestones, and vault notes you enter are stored only on your device and are never seen by us.

2

How We Use Information

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing for us to use, analyze, profile, or sell. We run no behavioral tracking and build no advertising profiles. Every feature — searching your archive, calculating rarity, mapping lineage, charting restoration progress — operates entirely on-device, using only the information you choose to enter.

3

Data Storage

All app content is saved locally in the application's own storage on your device. There is no cloud backend, no remote synchronization, and no transmission of records to external servers. Your research vault stays where you put it: with you.

4

Third-Party Services

The app integrates no third-party analytics, advertising networks, trackers, or external SDKs. We do not embed pixels or beacons, and no data is shared with partners, brokers, or platforms. The app has no reason to reach out, so it doesn't.

5

Data Security

By keeping everything local and avoiding network transmission entirely, the app minimizes external exposure by design — the safest data is the data that never leaves your device. We recommend protecting your device with the standard safeguards it offers, such as a passcode or biometric lock, to keep your archive secure.

6

Children's Privacy

The app collects no personal information from anyone, and that includes children under the age of 13. With no data collection of any kind, the app is inherently compliant with COPPA and similar protections for young users.

7

Your Control

You hold complete control over your records at all times. You can add, edit, or remove any entry directly within the app. Because there are no cloud backups or remote accounts, deleting the app removes its associated data from your device permanently — a clean and total reset whenever you wish.

8

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect improvements or clarifications. When we do, the Effective Date above will be revised accordingly. Our core commitment — no collection, no storage, no transmission — is not something we intend to change.
